Singer,
Songwriter, Saxophonist

All round artist

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Ronimus emerges with a new Dancehall sound fused with a gritty New York feel. In his upcoming debut EP, Ronimus I, he blends Patois and Dancehall grooves together with pounding Hip Hop beats and lush saxophone lines. Ronimus began recording his first songs at the age of 16, after immigrating to the US. His Church gifted him a saxophone and, inspired by the sound of Jerry Weimer, Ronimus began mastering his new instrument. This would bring him to start a reggae band, Heights of Wisdom, which culminated in the project Generation Y. He also played as a session musician on various occasions, eventually becoming the saxophonist for Ibn Itaka’s band, playing side by side with respected jazz musicians. Inspired by the New York jazz and Hip-Hop scene he was inserting himself in, Ronimus picked up songwriting again in 2019.
